"I have like a balcony. I feed the birds on my balcony. And when I don't feed them, all the sparrows will sing really loud around noon. That brings me joy because it's like they're trying to talk to me. When I actually go out and feed them while they swarm, that also brightens my day."

"I try to live life without regrets because I think everything has a lesson. But if I had to pick one regret that I do have, it's not dancing earlier on in my life. When my parents actually asked if I wanted to take dance lessons when I was in elementary school, I thought it was too late already, because I had friends who had already taken dance for years. I have always regretted that because it really wasn't too late. And dance is something I have really loved throughout the years, and I always wish that I had started."

"I'm going to choose a song. I was thinking about choosing a song that was really dramatic or devastating like a lot of songs that I love. But I think some of the ones that affect me the most are just those that are really simple and can transport you to a really particular feeling of, like, security or comfort. And the one that's been doing that for me lately is "Jenny Put the Kettle On" by Nora Brown. As far as I know, it's just about putting the kettle on. It's a very quick song, only two minutes. And it just reminds me of calling my mom or sitting down to talk with a friend. Taking stock of things. Yeah, I love it."

4. Kunjan

"When I was younger, me and my family friends used to go to the beach on July 4th. It was really cute. We would play by the rocks and everything. And that also really brought us closer. And yeah, I loved it."

5. Hunter Greenspan

"Every Sunday, me and my suitemates sit down and we Uber Eats whatever restaurant we're feeling that week while we watch Arrested Development for like two hours. It kind of started as something we were doing separately, where we'd just stay in the common room at the end of the year because I didn't really know these guys. But it became something we do every week now. Something I definitely look forward to. You know, Sunday nights suck because you've got Monday classes the next day. But it's been a really nice way to decompress and get ready for the next week. It's something small to look forward to, so even though Sundays are when I have to catch up on work and stuff, I'm much less stressed because I have something nice at the end of the day."

"My crochet. It's one of those things I always saw other people do. And I never thought I could be really good at it. But I got into it over Christmas break and it was really fun. And I started to make things for the people around me. And seeing how they appreciated the time I put into them was really rewarding for me to see."

7. Sarah Hoyt

"For my 20th birthday, my older sister, who had just gotten her first real job, surprised me with a trip to New York City for the weekend. She didn't tell me any of the details—just to get on a train with her and to pack a bag for the weekend. I got on the train and we went down a couple stops. I was looking out the window and my best friend walked out of the train too! I was shocked! But, the three of us spent the weekend together in the city. We went shopping. We went to a comedy show. We went out to eat. We tried a bunch of gluten-free restaurants that my sister picked out for me because I'm gluten-free. It was just very awesome to know that my sister and my best friend had thought so much about me to plan such a great trip."

8. Sydney Yonkoski

"Me and my brother aren't very affectionate. And he doesn't really show his emotions ever. And it was my 18th birthday. He didn't have a lot of money or anything, and I was about to leave for college soon. And I walked upstairs to my brother and he didn't get me a present, which I wasn't worried about. But when I woke up in my room, I found he had a note written for me with 8 pieces of Dubble Bubble gum because he knows how much I love it, and three dollar bills. It was a heartfelt note. He gave me a hug and we both cried. And that's the only time I've ever seen my brother cry."

"About a few years ago, I was in an Uber and when I got back home, I realized I didn't have my phone. So then I went on Find My Location and I noticed that throughout the night, from like 12 am to about 5 am, someone was carrying my phone all across downtown. So, I just assumed the Uber driver had my phone. But this wasn't the case. So, when your phone goes missing, you could put a little notification that says to contact a said person. So whoever had my phone got to contact my roommate. And so, we pick up the phone and they're like, 'I have your phone. I wrestled a man for it downtown. Ah! Ah! I'm falling!' And then the phone goes shut. And then we're all panicking. So eventually we go to the police department. And they find the phone using this beeping thing to hear it in this downtown house. And the lady that opens it up is completely naked and just casually hands me my phone. I cleansed it afterwards, and now, here it is."

"This summer I went to Costa Rica and we had to rent a car, obviously, to get around. But we weren't prepared for the road conditions. And the potholes filled up the entire road. But as we were driving, we came across where it looked like the road ended. We were confused because this is where the directions were telling us to go. But there was someone standing there, like, waving us along. But in front of us, there was a river. An entire river. And he was just waving us along to go through. So we just had to keep driving. We had to drive straight through a river. And literally, the water came all the way up to the window and we almost got swept down the river. But we made it through."

"I was a senior in high school and I was on a FaceTime call with my friends. It was about 2:00 am. And we were like, 'yo, let's do something fun.' Let's hop on a side quest.' So we were like, 'let's go to New York City.' So, we just bought a couple snacks from the gas station, hopped in a car, it was like 4 am, and we just drove to New York City. And it was actually December 31st, so we went to the New Year's ball drop. It was fire. We bought bagels, we were screaming random things at people, and we ended up watching the fireworks from the Brooklyn Bridge. And some random people just poured us champagne when we were like, I don't know, 17. But it was awesome. And yeah, it was a random trip to NYC."

12. Gabriel Kim

"My brothers and I were really big in track in high school. I would do pole vaulting, the youngest of us was a long-distance sprinter, then one of us ran the mid-distance, and the last was a thrower. So throughout high school, we would all do our separate events. But our last race was different. It was different because this was the one and only time we got to compete together. And so, we decided to run a 4 by 1 relay. During the relay, we had the sprinter and mid-distance start off, then me, then the pole vaulter, and then the big guy ended it off. And we ended up winning the race at the end. And yeah, this moment and the brotherhood was really special to me."

13. Calissa Mullin

"I was about 10 years old and I was in a Girl Scout. So me and my other Girl Scouts went on a trip to a horse farm where we got to ride ponies and horses and do all these fun things. But they also let us feed the horses. We were told a very specific way to hold our hands and I guess I didn't listen. So when I went to feed one of the horses, it thought my fingers were food instead of the actual food in my hand, so it decided to bite my whole hand. And obviously, I screamed like hell. Everybody ran over to me and nothing happened to my fingers. My fingers were fine. But the people were freaking out, spraying water on my hand, I was crying, and there was a whole big thing. They even had to call my dad to come like 30 minutes out to this random horse ranch to come pick me up. I'll never touch a horse again."

14. Elena Ellinikos

"It was New Year's Eve and my mom sends me a text. And it's like, 'Elena, what is this?' I look at the text and it's a picture of my vibrator... And I'm like, 'Why did you take it out?' 'Like no' 'That's not what you think it is' 'Maybe.' And then she was like, 'Well, me and my boyfriend were trying to figure it out.' And I was like no, no, please no. And then she... threw it away."

15. Amanda Grace

"So in high school, I had the privilege of going to visit Italy and Greece to go see the Vatican, and I'd always been interested in history in general and classical themes. But when I saw Michelangelo's painting on the Sistine Chapel, I was so shocked because all I could think about is how beautiful humans are and that they have the ability to create beauty and that we can make art out of so many other arts. And even, hundreds of years ago, when they didn't have technology the way we do, they expressed themselves so truly, and just, in a way we still revere today. And I just was floored and astonished at the genius and the creativity of humanity. And it sparked something in me that I knew I always wanted to study this, and now I'm in college as a first-generation student, and I'm able to study the classics. And that's what I'm doing for my major. And it just feels like a really full-circle moment, and it was the point of my inspiration, I think, for the rest of my life."

"So I think about a month ago it was, I was driving to the Lowe's truck stop because my friends and I like to go to Wendy's there. We call it the 3:00 am Wendy's. So I was taking Sophie and another friend, and as I'm driving, I get onto the highway and I see this black mass moving onto the highway, and I'm like, oh sh*t! I can't stop. I'm already going like 40 miles an hour, and so all I hear is a big boom! I hit a raccoon. It was really f***ing big, so I didn't know how to react. I'm like, what the heck, and the car goes dead silent. Both of them are like, "Oh my God." And so, as I'm driving to the Wendy's, I'm telling them, "Guys, it's okay that it died. Like, I feel bad, but if there's any blood on my white car, it's over. Like, I'm gonna be mad because I don't wanna touch it." So we pull up to the Wendy's, I get out like, oh okay, I look at the front of the car, and my license plate is gone. It's nowhere to be found. So we walk into the Wendy's. We meet up with our other friends, and they're just clowning me for hitting a raccoon like, "Oh my God, Rigby, Benson is gonna be so pissed." And you know, I'm almost in tears because I'm like, okay, well first of all, I can't drive without a license plate. That's already bad because I'm going to get pulled over. I was spiraling, but at this point, it's almost like 2 in the morning. So it's really late, and my friends' two other cars and me—we go drive through the highway back and forth maybe twice, looking through the entire thing exactly where we hit it, but we could not find it. People pulled over, got out on the side, digging through the grass, but no luck. So long story short, I'm known as the raccoon killer."

17. Ava Lakser

"About five years ago, I was like, "Yo, what's that noise?" So I go down to the basement. I'm freaking out, right? I see fire. I'm tweaking, so I go upstairs. I call 911. I'm like, "Yo, there's a fire in my house." My whole family is tweaking. I get my nanny, and I get everyone. So we go to the neighbor's home. I'm like tweaking. And, okay, wait, basically, anyway. I'm freaking out, then the fire people come and they're talking to me, and they're in the basement like, "There's no fire? What are you talking about?" I'm like, "Yo, I swear there was a fire." They're like, "No, like, that's just how the furnace works. Like, there's a fire in the furnace to heat up the house." I'm like, okay, I'm dumb. Like, everyone's hating on me, like there's no fire. Then, they go, "Wait, but what's that noise?" and I'm like, "What?" And they look, and apparently, my house was leaking carbon monoxide. And if I didn’t think that there was no fire in the furnace, my whole family... Anyway, you never know. God's plan."

18. Greg Papadopoulos

"I don't get to spend a lot of time with my dad. He's a very busy man, but this time, we finally got to go see a game with the Knicks. Everyone was going crazy, it was such a good time. But after that whole game, I got to take some good pictures with my dad, and then, as we're walking out, my dad just points and he says, "Is that Larry Johnson?" And I have his jersey on, No. 2, so I go up to him, tap him on the shoulder, and ask, "Are you Larry Johnson?" And he like turns around and says, "Yeah, that's me." So I got to flick up with him, same with my dad. And my dad loves Larry Johnson. I was so happy for him. But eventually, we move on, and as we're getting in the car, I just hear a guy yelling at me. It's like, "Hey! Hey! No. 2! No. 2!" and I start looking around. I don't know what the hell is going on, and I just see Larry Johnson again. Turns out, he followed us from the stadium all the way to the parking garage to go f*** with me. But I got to spend that whole day with my dad. It was beautiful."
